About Us

Inspired by the work and as a tribute to the dedication that His
Holiness Shri Sudhanshuji Maharaj has undertaken for the sake
of humanity, VJMNA, a very young and tender branch of this
gigantic tree of Vishwa Jagriti Mission (Universal Awakening)
has also become engaged in such missionary work for the
citizens of our community here in the Chicago area.
“Service to mankind is Service to God” is the underlying principle
of every religious faith. God dwells within the hearts of one and
all but his image is clearly visible in those who are deprived of
the basic needs of life. Such people give us the opportunity to
ward off all our sins by serving them. The VJMNA has been
moving forward spreading the love and light along with the
golden principles of His Holiness Acharya Sudhanshuji Maharaj.
• Humanitarian Services - The organization is sincerely
committed to the shelter project locally by feeding the homeless
and less privileged, contributing in the food pantry, toys and
other gift items for the children during holidays. This all is made
possible by the help of Volunteers who so generously render
their time and money. Organization also makes an effort to
contribute in some small way towards the victims of natural
calamity, like Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina and Rita.
• Monthly Satsang and Meditation – Spiritual discourses
through Satsang and joint prayers are also a regular activity of
VJMNA and something all the members look forward to
• Cultural activities to promote awareness and instill
patriotism towards our homeland (India) among youth
• Youth involvement in Indian festivals like Holi, Diwali –
Youth participate and show their talent by singing and dancing
during Diwali celebration
• Gratitude Campaign – Maharaj ji believes that to serve your
parents is the most pious duty – keeping that in mind VJMNA
recognizes the importance of seniors and parents by respecting
and showing gratitude and appreciation. Some members also
visit the senior citizen homes locally.
• Involvement in community – VJMNA makes a sincere effort
to be a part of the community events and help in any way
possible. The organization was one of the many participants that
had taken an active part in the first religious conference on
Sanatan Dharma Practices and Beliefs.
